Fishing Matters with Autumn Harry
Autumn Harry has been fishing since she was a child, just her ancestors and members of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe have done for centuries.
Efforts made by Tribal members and their partners to improve Derby Dam made it possible to return the Lahontan Cutthroat Trout to the lake. Harry’s story sheds a light on the importance and many benefit of modernizations, in this case reviving an important, age-old practice and restoring an important foodway for local Tribes.
