Our Process
FCA designed the Irrigation Modernization Program in close collaboration with irrigators to ensure that their visions of modernization transition from stacks of paper to pipes, screens, telemetry and hydropower in the ground. The IMP is a comprehensive approach to modernizing irrigation systems—we stay involved at every stage—from developing the strategy, getting it funded, and implementing the project.
In addition, FCA works at the state and national level to build broad awareness for the benefits of irrigation modernization, create opportunities, and remove obstacles to implementation. Communicating the agricultural, environmental and community benefits of modern irrigation systems is a key component of the program.
