The grant comes from the NRCS and will support the implementation of irrigation modernization strategies to improve water use efficiency and drought resiliency.
The funding will support major improvements to aging infrastructure, benefiting agriculture, rural communities, and conservation efforts in Oregon.

of open-ditch irrigation canals. The ten-year plan will conserve water in the Hood River watershed while saving more than $300,000 per
year for farmers
