We’re working to enable and accelerate the modernization of irrigation infrastructure with multiple irrigation districts in Oregon. Once modernized, the result of this work will be trillions of gallons of water conserved annually, thousands of miles of stream improved for fish, MWh of energy created as well as conserved, and millions of dollars in economic development.
Without FCA’s assistance, 220 families in the Wallowa Lake Irrigation District would be responsible for funding the $18M restoration required to upgrade the Wallowa Lake Dam and irrigation infrastructure.
Participating in FCA’ s IMP means the $17M cost of restoring flow to the Deschutes River won’t be the sole responsibility of 20 families in the Lone Pine Irrigation District.
