We’re working to enable and accelerate the modernization of irrigation infrastructure with multiple irrigation districts in Oregon. Once modernized, the result of this work will be trillions of gallons of water conserved annually, thousands of miles of stream improved for fish, MWh of energy created as well as conserved, and millions of dollars in economic development.
* Energy Conservation numbers represent an estimate of the potential energy savings that could result from the identified projects across participating districts. Depending on individual district circumstances, this estimate may depend upon the completion of necessary on-farm upgrades in addition to the districts’ modernization projects.
** Completed projects and projects underway in Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, Hood River, Wasco, and Wallowa Counties. Project Description: Piping Projects in Arnold Irrigation District,Central Oregon Irrigation District, East Fork Irrigation District, Medford Irrigation District, Powder Valley Water Control District, Rogue River Valley Irrigation District, Swalley Irrigation District, and Tumalo Irrigation District.
